When you traverse the long single-track road through Glen More to Loch Scriadan, you witness remnants of these ancient forces.
Geologists may tell us about numerous mega-volcanic events that have left their mark on this landscape. But folklore paints a different picture – one filled with mighty fire-breathing dragons. According to legend, Glen More was once terrorized by such a fearsome dragon whose presence cast a shadow over the land. Something had to be done to rid the glen of this menacing creature. The Legend Unveiled in Glen More
Long ago, when Glen More was still in its infancy humans were learning to coexist with nature's wonders. A great dragon descended upon the glen. Its scales glinted like emeralds in sunlight while flames danced within its jaws. People lived in constant fear as their livestock vanished without a trace and crops withered under its fiery breath.
Desperate for respite from this reign of terror, they sought guidance from the king...
